Hello! My name is Brett Brown, and I'm a wildlife photographer based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As a child, I spent my free time turning rocks on the beach or flipping logs in the woods in search of the hidden worlds underneath. Over the years I've spent a great deal of time learning about nature, and even more time exploring it. From rugged coastlines to towering mountain peaks, I find myself most at peace when I'm alone in the far reaches of the wilderness. Out here the world is primal and free of the burden of modern life. Only the present matters. The passion of my life is to highlight the incredible species that call this remote wilderness home. From the furtive Shrew to the mighty Bear, all life plays an important role in this wonderful world we call home.

Recently I've begun diving into the world of video, aiming to create my own series of documentaries with an intimate focus on some of my favourite species. Through my photos and videos I hope to further display the relationships between animals and the world around them, as well as the incredible intricacies that are so often missed when we see these animals at a passing glance.

My photography is inspired by a deep connection to the land and lives that call it home, as well as an intense passion to learn about all the natural world has to offer. The natural sciences have always been a significant interest of mine and I'm always seeking to learn more about the world and ecosystems that we call home. Through my lens I hope to teach and inspire others to see the true beauty of the natural world.
